How to add a proxy on Android with Rapid+
Four steps. You need the proxy’s host, port and type from your provider.
Open proxy settings
Go to Settings → Proxy & VPN mode.
Enter your proxy
Choose SOCKS5 or HTTP, then enter the host / IP and port. Add username and password if needed.
Save and apply
Tap Save & apply.
Turn on VPN mode
Switch on Enable VPN mode here, or later from the main menu.
Proxy: common questions
How do I set up a SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy in Rapid+ Browser?
Open Settings → Proxy & VPN mode, choose SOCKS5 or HTTP, enter the host and port (and username and password if your proxy needs them), tap Save & apply, then turn on Enable VPN mode.
Is this a real VPN?
No. Rapid+ sends its own browser traffic through the proxy you enter. It does not route other apps or the whole phone, and it does not encrypt traffic that is not already HTTPS. Websites see the proxy’s address instead of yours.
Does Rapid+ provide proxy servers?
No. You bring your own proxy from a provider you trust or your own server. Rapid+ only connects to it.
Can I use a different proxy for each profile?
Yes. Proxy settings are saved per profile and applied when you switch to that profile. Only one proxy is active at a time, the one for the profile you are using.
Does it support proxies with a username and password?
Yes, for both SOCKS5 and HTTP. Enter them in the same dialog. They are stored on your device only.
How do I know the proxy works?
Open a “what is my IP” website. The address shown should be the proxy’s. If the page will not load, check the host, port, type and login, and confirm the proxy works elsewhere.
Can the proxy owner see my browsing?
They can see which sites you connect to and the content of anything not protected by HTTPS. Only use proxies you trust.
