Rapid+ Browser · Version 1.0

This guide shows you how to install Rapid+ and use each feature. Menu names match the app, but small differences can appear between versions.

1. Install the app

1. On your Android phone, open the download page and tap Download APK.
2. When the download finishes, tap the file to open it. If you get “unable to open document”, open it from your Files or Downloads app instead.
3. If Android says installs from this source are blocked, tap Settings and turn on Allow from this source for the app you used to download it. Then go back and tap Install.
4. Tap Open.

Updating: install the newer APK over the old one. Your data is kept.

2. First launch

1. Terms and Privacy Policy. Read them, then tap agree to continue. The app can’t be used without agreeing.
2. Sign in to Google. Tap Sign in to Google to sign in on Google’s own page, or tap Continue without an account. You can sign in later from Settings.
3. You land on the start page, ready to browse.

3. Browsing and tabs

Search or go to a site

Tap the address bar and type a web address or search words. As you type, Rapid+ suggests pages you’ve visited before and bookmarks. Tap a suggestion to open it.

Tabs

• Tap the tab counter to see all open tabs, switch between them or close them.
• Open a new tab from the menu, New tab.
• Tabs stay open when you close and reopen the app.

Find in page, share and bookmarks

• Bookmark: tap the star next to the address bar. Find saved pages in Bookmarks.
• Find in page: open the menu and choose it, then type what to look for.
• Share page: open the menu and choose Share page.
• Desktop site: open the menu and turn on Desktop site to load the full desktop version.

Start page

Your home page shows a clock, a search box, Most visited sites and Suggested sites with their logos. Tap any tile to open it.

4. The menu (⋮)

Tap the three dots to open the menu. Swipe up and down to scroll it. It has:

• New tab and New incognito tab
• Bookmarks, History and Downloads
• Saved passwords
• Desktop site and VPN mode toggles
• Find in page and Share page
• Profile switcher (your avatar) and Settings

5. Profiles

Profiles keep parts of your life separate: for example Personal, Work and Shopping. Each profile has its own tabs, history, bookmarks, passwords, site settings, proxy and user agent.

Create a profile

1. Tap your avatar (top of the browser or in the menu).
2. Choose to add a profile, give it a name and pick a colour.

Switch profiles

Tap the avatar and choose a profile. Switching is instant. Your tabs stay open where you left them and pages don’t reload.

Delete a profile

Open the profile list and delete the profile. This permanently removes its data.

6. Proxy and VPN mode

Send your browsing through a proxy server you provide (SOCKS5 or HTTP).

1. Open Settings → Proxy & VPN mode.
2. Choose the proxy type: SOCKS5 or HTTP.
3. Enter the host / IP and port. Add a username and password if your proxy needs them.
4. Tap Save & apply.
5. Turn on Enable VPN mode, or switch it on from the main menu.

Visit a “what is my IP” site to check the address changed.

7. User-agent switcher

The user agent tells websites what browser and device you are using. Change it in Settings → User agent: Default, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iPhone 6, iPhone 13 or iPhone 17. Reload the page after changing it. Each profile remembers its own choice.

8. Saving and filling passwords

• Saving: when you sign in to a site, Rapid+ asks Save password? Tap Save. Choose Never for this site to stop being asked.
• Updating: if you change a saved password, it offers to update it.
• Filling: tap a login field on a site where you have saved details, then choose Sign in with a saved password.
• Managing: open the menu and choose Saved passwords to see or delete them.

Passwords are encrypted with a key held in the Android Keystore and stored only on your device. They are saved for HTTPS sites and never in private tabs.

9. Private (incognito) tabs

Open the menu and choose New incognito tab. Private tabs don’t save history, passwords or site icons, use a separate temporary set of cookies that is deleted when you close the last private tab, and block screenshots and screen recording. Your internet provider, employer, the sites you visit and any proxy can still see your activity.

10. Site settings

Go to Settings → Site settings to control JavaScript, pop-up blocking, location, camera, microphone and third-party cookies. When a site asks to use your camera, microphone, location or files, Rapid+ asks you first, and Android may ask for its own permission too. You can change permissions at any time in Settings → Apps → Rapid+ → Permissions.

Clear browsing data by time

Open Settings → Clear browsing data. Choose a time range (last hour, last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 4 weeks or all time) and what to clear: browsing history, cookies and site data, cached images and files, and saved passwords. History and passwords are removed by date. Cookies and site data are removed for the sites you visited in that range, so you will be signed out of them. The cache is always cleared completely. Your downloaded files are never deleted.

11. Downloads and uploads

• Tap a download link to start. Track progress in the notification bar and the Downloads screen.
• Tap a finished download to open it. Swipe or use the delete button to remove it.
• When a site asks for a file, photo or video, Rapid+ opens your file picker or camera.

12. Sign in to Google

Like Chrome, Rapid+ lets you sign in to your Google account once so that Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Google search and other Google sites stay signed in. It's optional.

1. Open Settings → Account → Sign in to Google (or choose it on the welcome screen).
2. Google’s own sign-in page opens in a tab. Sign in there as usual. Your password goes only to Google.
3. Your profile then shows your Google name and photo.

Profiles: each profile has its own Google sign-in, so you can use a different Google account in each profile. On phones with an older Android System WebView, profiles share website logins, so the same Google account appears in every profile. Updating Android System WebView in Google Play fixes this.

Sign out: Settings → Account → Sign out of Google signs that profile out of all Google sites.

Not included: Chrome can sync bookmarks and passwords through your Google account. That sync is available only in Google’s own Chrome, so Rapid+ does not sync through Google.

13. Price

Rapid+ is free on Android and Windows. There is no trial, no subscription and no in-app purchase, and the app never asks for payment details. If a paid plan is ever added, you will be told in the app first and nothing will be charged without your agreement.

14. Troubleshooting

The APK won’t install

Allow installs from unknown sources for your browser or file manager. Make sure you have free storage and Android 8.0 or newer. If you had a version signed differently, uninstall it first (this removes its data).

Proxy or VPN mode doesn’t work

Check the host, port and type. Confirm the proxy works elsewhere, and enter the username and password if needed. If Rapid+ says proxy override isn’t supported, update Android System WebView in Google Play.

“Your connection isn’t private”

The site’s security certificate isn’t trusted. Go back unless you fully understand the risk. Check your phone’s date and time too.

Password isn’t offered for saving

Saving works on HTTPS pages, not in private tabs, and needs an up-to-date WebView. Some sites with unusual login forms may not be detected.

Google sign-in fails

Check that you’re online and that Android System WebView is up to date in Google Play. If Google says “This browser or app may not be secure”, Google has declined the sign-in for this browser; you can still use Google sites without signing in, and please tell us on Telegram so we can look into it.

A page looks wrong on mobile

Try Desktop site or a different user agent.

15. Get help and send feedback

Open Settings → About → Feedback us, or message us on Telegram: @hasanmahmud_dev. When reporting a bug, include your phone model, Android version and what you did before the problem happened.

16. Rapid+ for Windows

Rapid+ Browser for Windows has the same main features as the Android app: tabs, profiles, proxy and VPN mode, the user-agent switcher, saved passwords, private tabs, history, bookmarks and downloads. Its settings live in menu (⋮) → Settings.

Install

1. Download the installer from the download page and open it.
2. If Windows shows Windows protected your PC, click More info and then Run anyway. The installer is not code-signed yet.
3. Follow the steps, then start Rapid+ Browser from the Start menu or desktop.

Clear browsing data by time

Open Settings → Privacy & data → Clear browsing data (or press Ctrl+Shift+Delete). Pick a time range (last hour, last 24 hours, last 7 days, last 4 weeks or all time) and what to clear: browsing history, the download list, cookies and site data, cached files and saved passwords.

• History, the download list and saved passwords are removed by date.
• Cookies and site data are removed for the sites you visited in that time range, so you will be signed out of them.
• Cached files are always cleared completely, whatever the time range.

Tabs and windows

Close a tab with its ×, a middle-click, or Ctrl+W. Closing the last tab closes the window, like Chrome. Your open tabs come back next time you start Rapid+.

Sites that ask for a username and password

Some sites, such as routers, company intranets and staging servers, ask for a username and password in a small browser box instead of a web form. Rapid+ shows its own Sign in box with the site's name. If the connection isn't secure it warns you first. If the password is wrong it says so and asks again. Press Cancel or Esc to refuse.

To protect you from phishing, only the page you are visiting can ask. A picture or frame from a different site that asks for a password is refused without a prompt.

How it differs from Android

• The Windows version is currently free, with no trial or subscription.
• Saved passwords are encrypted with Windows secure storage and stay on this computer.
• Windows does not have Google Safe Browsing. Rapid+ warns you about invalid security certificates, but it can’t warn you about phishing or malware sites.
• Each profile keeps its own proxy. Only one proxy is used at a time, the one for the profile you’re in. Private tabs use the same proxy as the profile you opened them from.
• Sign in to Google (optional) works like on Android: you sign in on Google’s own page, and Google sites stay signed in in that profile.

Updates and uninstalling

Rapid+ checks this website for a newer version and shows a dot on the menu when one is available (Settings → About → Check for updates). Download the new installer and run it over the old one. To remove the app, use Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Rapid+ Browser → Uninstall.
